Entry: Natural sources

Notation:
A0B8X

This branch of the terminology tree lists living organisms (animals, plants and microorganisms) of relevance in the food safety domain and includes the natural sources for food of natural origin. They are also referred to in the facet 'source' describing the source of the food item under consideration (in many cases a plant or an animal). The information brought by this facet is very often implicitly included in the food list groups, but in some cases it might be also provided as additional facet in case of food items with ambiguous source (e.g. some cheese types or some sausages).

Hierarchy term only, do not use in coding.
