- Calcium tert-butylphosphonate is submitted as a food contact material (plastic additive) which is intended for use as a nucleating agent in the manufacture of polyolefin food contact materials and articles. The calcium tert-butylphosphonate is intended to be used at a maximum level of 0.15 weight percent in all polyolefins in contact with all food types, including infant formula and human milk, without limitation on temperature.
