The Consumer Insights Tracker is an online monthly tracking survey commissioned by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and administered by YouGov. It monitors the behaviour and attitudes of adult consumers aged 16+ in England, Wales and Northern Ireland in relation to food. The survey includes core topics of food availability, food affordability, consumer concerns in relation to food, confidence in the food supply chain and in the FSA as a regulator. A report covering these core topics is published on science.food.gov.uk every three months. Questions are also included on other topics on an ad hoc basis, and the data for these questions can be found in the data tables below. For more information about these questions, please refer to the 'Background and methodological information' section of each quarterly report. Between April 2020 and June 2023, the Consumer Insights Tracker was administered by Ipsos UK. Due to the methodological differences between these two suppliers, data collected from Ipsos and YouGov should not be directly compared.

This survey monitors consumer behaviors and attitudes in relation to food availability, affordability and confidence in the food industry and its regulators. This survey was established in November 2021. A written commentary of this data can be found on the Consumer insights tracker FSA webpage.

Data tables for the report ‘Consumers’ food safety practices in the home: trends and insights from 2020–2025’. The tables include trend data for selected questions in the FSA Food and You 2 Survey: Waves 1-10 (2020-2025), asked to respondents in England, Northern Ireland and Wales. All other FSA data referenced in the report can be accessed by searching for the relevant study in the FSA Data Catalog.

These are supplementary datasets referred to in the report FS307035 Appendices for research project FS307035 - Antimicrobial Resistance in Biofilms Formed During Secondary Food Processing of Meat and Meat Products. They include details of the literature review carried out as part of the project, the project Standard Operating Procedures and sequencing and qPCR metadata, quality controls and statistics.

The dataset contains the microbiological results for all the samples in project FS430667.

Under the domestic TSE Regulations, SRM which is vertebral column from over thirty month bovine carcasses must only be removed in a cutting plant which is authorised by the FSA for this activity. SRM which is spinal cord from older sheep or goats may be removed in a cutting plant which is authorised by the FSA for this activity, or in a slaughterhouse where no specific authorisation is required. The harvesting of bovine head meat must only be carried out in a cutting plant which is authorised by the FSA for this activity.
